The Audience that Wasn't There
Independent Citizen Reporting and Struggling to Find Your Audience
A little blurb to go with it: Several years ago, the Pew Institute for Internet and Society Released the Statsic that 99% of all blog readers read the same 1% of all blogs. While the internet today provides many of the tools and low threshhold for becoming your own media, few citizen journalists have stepped up to the challenge. And what about the audience, are the 99% ready to try something new? If not, where does that leave us as a so-called free and democratic society?
